Hornby Island offers a great variety of interesting wildlife, flora & fauna, renowned kayaking, hiking & fishing, quality arts, and fascinating native history and geology.The waters surrounding Hornby provide exceptional boating, scuba diving, and spectacular marine life. The white sand of Tribune Bay is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in British Columbia and offers the warmest swimming waters on the BC coast. 'Beaching' is a popular activity on the island - visitors come to view the spectacular petroglyphs and fossils harboured by the island since a bygone era. Known as a creative haven for artists, Hornby is an imaginative medley of individuality. Many galleries and studios boast local pottery, paintings, jewelry and carvings.

You will also find a  variety of great cafe's, restaurants, bakery, wineries, farmer's market, a distillery, a meadery and incredible festivals and performances. In August, the island plays host to the Hornby Festival - a popular performing arts festival.
